We stopped here for lunch. It is a lovely location, the service was great and the food, we both had a steak sandwich, was excellent. Well worth a visit if you are in the area

Very impressed. We phoned with only a 10min heads up for coffee for 18 people. When we got there the Library had been fully set up with cups, pots and biscuits by the waitress. Really good service and a lovely setting.

Just the kind of pub you hope to find on your holidays! Welcoming atmosphere, lovely country style decor, a large, tasteful beer garden with actual plants and gardens to look at. There was just a lovely ambiance every time we visited day and night. Small but carefully chosen menu, we recommend the steak and the belly pork. Extremely welcoming towards children and dogs, the staff were all great. They were all professional, friendly and helpful. There was nothing to fault, they even have nice Molton Brown soap, we loved this pub. Owner Dave is legendary, his banter is hilarious! We will definitely return when we can.

We had a great lunchtime meal here yesterday. We all had the fish and chips which was perfect. The haddock was perfectly cooked with crisp batter and the chips were spot-on! It was accompanied by a beautiful home made tartare sauce and mushy peas. The portions were huge too! The bar area is dog friendly and all the staff were warm and welcoming. Well recommended!

Called in for lunch whilst on holiday in the area. Not pre booked. Fantastic welcome for us and our Brown Labrador. Superb choice on the menu. My wife’s 6oz steak was succulent and cooked to perfection as were the accompaniments. I had the fish and chips which was huge! Perfect batter coating a beautiful fish fillet with the best tartare sauce I’ve ever tasted. Can’t comment on desserts as we had no room left to eat one!! We are booked in again for Sunday Lunch tomorrow and are both looking forward to it.
